What are your opening hours?
Our standard Opening Hours are 07:30 to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, 07.30am to 4.00pm Friday and 08:00 to 12:00 noon Saturday
Are you open on Bank Holidays?
Lothian Building Supplies are generally open on all Bank Holidays throughout the year with the exception of Easter Weekend. We also close for the Christmas and New Year Period.
Do you supply Trade and Retail?
Absolutely, Trade and Retail customers are both very welcome.
How can I get materials from you?
You can collect in person from the branch or we can deliver to home or site. We have a range of vehicles that are used for our deliveries depending on the nature and weight of the goods ordered. Our vehicles range from small pick up dropside transits
to large crane offload vehicles. Please bear in mind that all our deliveries are classed as roadside deliveries, our drivers will endevour to put goods in a suitable place for you but will only do what they can following all health and safety
guidelines. Drivers will not take trucks onto grass areas for example as they would damage the grass.
Can I place an order online?
Yes, you can order and pay for your goods online, although not all products that we sell are shown online. When you place an order online our staff will receive an email instantly which ensures that we pick up your shopping list immediately in the branch
and contact you to discuss a suitable delivery date for your goods.
Do you charge for delivery ?
If you have a credit account with us, then delivery is always free of charge for goods delivered from our depot. If you are a Retail customer then we do charge a small delivery charge, the value of which is dependent on how far your delivery location
is from our depot in East Lothian. Delivery charges range from £18.00 to £36.00 inc vat and the charge applicable will be shown on your order before you place the order.
How far do you deliver?
For core stock items shown on the website we will delivery to any EH postcode. There are some exceptions to this, for example if you are ordering composite decking from us, we can deliver to some areas outside the EH postcode area but we would ask that
you contact the depot in advance to discuss your requirements and we will give you a price for the delivery.
What are your lead times for delivery ?
We always try and schedule deliveries as quick as we can but during very busy periods our delivery lead time can sometimes stretch to a week or more. As a general rule we will deliver within 3-5 working days assuming the product is in stock at the time
of ordering but our transport department will contact you within 1 working day of placing your order to discuss a suitable delivery date with you. For example if you place an order on a Saturday our transport department would be in contact on
the Monday.
Can I return products?
Yes we accept returns subject to some exclusions. Some charges may apply. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions section of the Website
Can you offer advice on sizes, material requirements, coverage etc?
Our expert staff can offer advice on your project and the product contained within however we would always ask that you check the advised dimensions, quantities etc. as any guides given are only estimates.
What if I can’t find what I’m looking for on the Website?
Our website currently only shows a fraction of our whole product range ,we will be adding hundreds more products as time goes on. If you cannot find what you are looking for on the website the chances are we may still actually have it in stock at our
large depot so please give us a call or drop us an email!
